In the past, those who felt a call to vocational ministry only had one choice – attend seminary and earn a Masters of Divinity. That path of training is valuable and important but also out of reach for many who want to serve God in this way but cannot afford the time or cost of such an education. The Seventy Two School of Ministry Certificate Track provides the formation, education and ministry experience that the leaders of tomorrow’s churches will need, at an affordable cost and as conveniently as their home church in just two years’ time. Upon completion of the full program, candidates would be eligible for ordination with the Alliance of Reformed Churches.

But there are also those among the followers of Jesus who, in their desire to love him with all of their hearts, souls, and minds, long for the same type of formation, education or ministry experience as those who make ministry their vocation. To you we say, journey with 72 for a single class, several classes over several years or through the formation program alone. Seventy Two is committed to customizing your journey to match the unique work God is doing in you.

Each component of the 72 curriculum is designed to be a complement to the rest of life’s demands on your time. Classes and formation groups meet in the evenings or weekends and should add no more than 5-7 hours of commitment to your week. Seventy Two will also give credit for any past experience or education that correlates with our courses, making the best use of your time over the two-year period.
